Happy Friday! Today I’m sharing this month’s goodies in my Play! By Sephora subscription box. I’m not going to lie, it was underwhelming and a box full of things I’ve already tried or bought. Sephora really needs to step it up, because these past couple months have been a bit of a bust with my boxes. Let’s dive in and see what I got!
BEAUTYBLENDER micro.mini
I love the BeautyBlender and it is a staple in my cosmetic drawer. This version is pint size, to use for concealer and contouring. I actually have already received this as a free promo with an order about a year ago, so I knew I liked it. I feel like Sephora could’ve sprung to at least put the new Micro. Mini Pro in the box, so I could try something fresh and new.
LIVING PROOF Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo
If I had a dollar for every travel sized dry shampoo I’ve received in a subscription beauty box, well, I’d have enough to buy a full size version. And if I’d buy a full size version it would be this LIVING PROOF Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo! I’ve actually used this dry shampoo before and love how it takes away all the greasies on my day 2….or day 5 hair.
KAT VON D Lock-It Concealer Creme
Again, this is not a new sample for me. I’ve actually bought the full size before. It’s a great concealer that really stays put and covers my dark circles.
KOPARI Coconut Melt
Finally! A brand I’ve never tried before! This was a generous sized sample of their coconut oil and I love Kopari’s packaging! This coconut oil just melts in my hands and smooths all the dry spots that need a little extra TLC. You can never have enough coconut oil on hand!
TOO FACED Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil
This is the second of the 2 things that were new to me in this box. This eye makeup remover is very intriguing, as it looks like mascara itself, but actually takes off mascara so precisely. I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked this. I’ll file this sample under “things I never knew I needed, until I had them”.
KAT VON D Saint & Sinner Fragrance Pair
I have already tried these scents through an Influenster VoxBox, and loved the perfumes! I’m thrilled to add more to my stash. These fragrances are both intoxicating to my senses and can be worn alone or together. It’s hard to choose which one I like better, but I think Saint is the one I reach for more often because of the light, flirty scent.
Well, there you have it. This Play! Box was definitely not my favorite and I’m really hoping next month is better. If it’s lackluster, I may have to move on to another beauty box.
At least I have my 50 extra reward points to add to my account!
